Trip DescriptionBrigs' adult sails are more than just a leisurely sail. Onboard this 6 day adult course, you will be an integral part of the crew, standing watch and participating in sail maneuvers, meal preparation, and sailing the ship throughout the night. You will receive a full induction on safety, sailing, and familiarization with the ship. Beginning in the industrial City of Windsor, we will transit the Detroit river bound for the capricious waters of Lake Erie. Lake Erie is one of the roughest of the Great Lakes due to its shallow depths and prevailing westerly winds, which, with some luck, may therefore be behind us on this voyage! Dependent on weather, expect a stop on Pelee Island, the most southern inhabited point in Canada, where you can find some of the most friendly locals and ice cream. Upon arrival in Port Colborne, you will depart the ship with new found knowledge of tall ship sailing, along with memories to last a lifetime! |

Join us as a Trainee
As a Adult Trainee, no previous experience is required - the crew of TS Playfair will teach you everything you need to know.
There are three simple requirements to join our Adult Sails:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be comfortable in and around the water.
- Must be physically and mentally fit for adventure.
Please note the following:
Cost is per trainee in Canadian dollars ($CAD) and does not include HST. A deposit of $300 will be required to complete booking.
Course itineraries are approximate and subject to change according to schedule and weather conditions.
Participants are responsible for their transportation to and from the vessel.
