Windsor to Port Colborne

Trip Description

Finish out the summer in the most epic way possible, and roll into the next school year tanned and proud of yourself! After departing Windsor, we’ll head south to leave the Detroit River and then set sail to cross Lake Erie. Possible stops include Pelee Island, the southernmost point in Canada, Erieau, or the beach towns of Port Stanley or Port Dover.

 This voyage ends in the quaint town of Port Colborne, home of our favorite pie shop and the starting point for descending the Welland Canal down the Niagara escarpment to Lake Ontario.

This voyage can be counted towards the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Bronze, Silver, and Gold Adventurous Journeys and Gold Residential Projects.

Join us as a Trainee 

As a Trainee, no previous experience is required- the youth officers of TS Playfair will teach you everything you need to know.

To join summer youth courses, trainees:

• Must be 13 to 18 years of age*
• Must be comfortable in and around the water.
• Must be physically and mentally able to participate safely.
